12mm Counterweight Bar and Weight for Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi, EQ1/EQ2
and Other Mounts With M12 Threads (Or M8 threads - Sky Adventurer)
This counterweight bar and weight fits mounts that have M12-1.75
female threads, like Sky-Watcher AZ-GTI. Eases the torsion load
on the mount bearings, also good for EQ setups with the GTi mount.
Also works for the Explore Scientific iEXOS-100 mount which normally
uses a slightly larger diameter bar, so the original weights will be a bit
loose on this 12mm bar.
The 2.2 lb (1kg) steel weight is painted very dark gray and has a clamp
thumbscrew. 2.3" diameter and 2" long, the center hole is 12.5mm
diameter. Gluten free. Weight is available separately below.
The #BR12 12mm diameter chromed steel bar is 8" long, screws into
the mount and has an M6 phillips screw and washer as a toe-saver.

#BR128 is the 8" long 12mm bar with both M12-1.75 and M8 threads,
works on the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer (original). Verify your
threads before ordering!
#BN12 is a replacement toe-saver. Machined anodized knurled
knob with stainless steel M6 threaded stud. 1.15" diameter and
0.7" thick, a bit nicer than the phillips screw and washer supplied
with the bar. No tools needed.
#RB124 is a 3.7" long 12mm diameter extension for the #BR12 bar,
which lets you get your weight(s) farther out. M6 male and female
threads. It's an extension only, does not have 12mm threads, it
screws into the end of the 8" bar.
