Replacement Focus Knobs for Import Factory Focusers
These machined aluminum knurled knobs are perfect replacements for
the plastic knobs on factory focusers. 2.2" diameter, 1/2" thick with
knurled edge and dished outer surface, anodized racing-knob grey.
The large diameter provides precise focus control. Each knob weighs
8 oz and attaches with a setscrew on the hub and a center screw into
the end of the focuser shaft.
The Synta style focusers are common on Orion, SkyWatcher and Vixen
branded scopes, as well as others. If they look the same as these
pictures, there is a good chance of compatibility. However...
Measure your focuser shaft diameter before ordering, don't guess or
assume! There are variations. We have four versions now, we may make
more later or adapt to other focusers. Email us with any questions!
After removing the center screw, some gentle tapping with a punch at
the center hub of the plastic factory knob may be needed to loosen it.
Don't pry, twist or pound on the knob as damage can result!
#KSR1 fits Synta style R&P refractor focusers, including Orion and
Sky Watcher Short Tube 80 f5 refractors.
#KGC1 fits the GSO single-speed Crayford focusers, both refractor
and Newt-Dob types. Shown below with factory knobs. (not included)
